“The Road to Bethlehem” ~ Joseph Brickey
Story A Day ~ Christmas Stories
Nearly every year, for the past few years… as a family we’ve made “Story A Day” books, with a small gift symbolic of each story, that all went into a bag and was given anonymously to friends… just like an Advent Calendar… you read just one story on a particular day and receive the small gift, for the entire month of December. *Smile*
We start in October, proofing, preparing and printing the book… then collating and making it up, which we usually finish sometime in November, and then start buying and making the gifts, to all go into bags by the end of November, to be delivered through guile and cunning as to not be found out who we are.
I’m sure all our co-conspirators are not able to keep a secret, because somehow we are always found out. *Grin*
It takes a lot of time, printing and paper… lots of energy, effort and work… lots of fun, some tears, and more love and laughter. Often we say… never again… and yet, year after year… we start thinking we’ll do just one… or maybe three… definitely not more than 5 or 7, we’ve done 13 one year. *Laugh Out Loud*
This year, because we are moving on the 1st of December, (I am soooo EXCITED!)… we started sorting, and packing and trying to get projects finished and our December projects organised, I knew that it just wasn’t possible… and so I’ve made the decision, to publish and share the stories with everyone who wants to read them… and to ask, that any of those who have received our “Story A Day Decembers” to please share their experience. *Smile*
Each day during December, we’ll share a “Story A Day” and an Act of Kindness or a “Heart to Heart Project” with you. *Smile*
